The Villa

When you step into this wonderful Villa you can imagine yourself back in a different era in time...The scene Villa Tavernato ....Candlelight....A party at the time of the Emperor....Napoleon naturally..... Ladies in long dresses.... a perfect setting for an "Out of this World" wedding. Set on 3 floors, the entrance hall leads to various rooms all beautifully preserved and through to a garden at the back. An impressive staircase leads to (the old noble quarters) and the various bedrooms. On this floor you will find a smaller staircase which leads to another floor which at one time was the servants quarters. Just stop for a minute and you are transported back in time. In 1885 the villa became the property of Count Cigala Fulgosi a descendant of the old Cigala family which came from Germany to Genova in the year 893 where they became one of the most respected families of the city. The noble title dates to 1173, while the name Fulgosi originates from a noblewoman from Piacenza who married Aurelio in the XVII century. It was for this reason that Fulgosi was joined to the coat of arms of the Cigala family and the decendents had a double–barreled name. The Villa is immersed in beautiful green gardens and is the ideal romantic setting for "The Happy Couple" and their guests. The small chapel that has recently been restored and the 3 rooms of the villa are the ideal place for wedding and can accomodate up to 200 people. There is ample  parking space to accomodate 300 carriages...pardon, cars
