Other

Modena is famous for many things - the magnificent voice of Pavarotti, balsamic vinegar and not least Modena is considered the true and unique automotive capital. Here prestigious automobiles such as the Ferrari, Maserati, and De Tomaso were born. A short distance from the old town centre or Modena, in Largo Garibaldi, we can see the monument dedicated to Enzo Ferrari who lived nearby. a few steps just around the corner you are in Viale Trento Trieste, headquarters of the first Ferrari office in the 1930s. Proceeding in the opposite direction you come to Viale Ciro Menotti where the historic Maserati factory is still visible today, now run by Ferrari. The link between this city and the world of motors is solidly reinforced by prestigious demonstrations that periodically take place in the centre and by the unpublished presence of two private museums (Stanguellini and Panini) dedicated to the most exclusive of automobiles.

Enzo Ferrari moved to Via Giardini (in the direction of Maranello) in 1943 and from this small, sparsely-populated rural town the production of legendary automobiles began. Maranello today owes Enzo Ferrari a boundless notoriety that has brought prosperity and wellbeing to all its inhabitants. In the last few years, thanks to the formidable victories of the racing squad and the Schumacher phenomenon, even tourism has found a stronghold here.
